Nike: Blue Ribbon Sports

Art Direction & Apparel Graphics

In late 1967 at 3107 Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica, Jeff Johnson opened the first retail space to feature Nike running shoes. Shuttered for decades, Nike snagged the lease on the building once again with a vision to revisit the glory days of that early dream, designed for runners today. We concepted a few moments within the space, sourced key furniture pieces and created an era-inspired brand system. The old VW bus out front (and subsequently, the new EV version) got the treatment, along with heat press-on apparel, patches and other assorted swag.
